Former Pakistani Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was unable to offer Eid prayers in Adiala Jail. He was not allowed to attend the Eid prayers due to security reasons.
Imran Khan has more than 100 cases against him on charges ranging from leaking state secrets to embezzlement.
Imran Khan has been in prison since August 2023. Eid prayers were held at the central mosque inside Adiala Jail, but he could not go there due to security reasons.
Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibo is also in prison. She had to stay in her cell during the Eid prayers.
However, other prisoners and prison officials of the prison offered Eid prayers. A three-day security plan was implemented to ensure the security of Adiala Jail.
